Chai valla

Hurray. This tea is in town. The spices remind me of hot chai on cold, nice mornings in Copenhagen. My friend making tea and acting like a little indian waiter. And my other friend talking about that little table on wheels we had to get. Every time I take a sip and feel the smell of it I remember this happy moment with my friends.  Namaste.

A cup of tea?

For en tid siden viste jeg dere disse morsomme teposene i dette innlegget. I dag er en grei dag å vise dem igjen. Selv om de er uklare og tatt i all hast mens lyset enda var her en kort tid. Men hvor er Kate? Jeg må nok ta meg en tur innom Urban Outfitters i København til uka. Der skal de nemlig ha slike som på bildet nederst. Men for å være ærlig- så bryr jeg meg ikke om det der bryllupet. Og jeg er for trett til å ta nytt bilde i dag. Har danset hele uka og i dag var det stor flash mob på skolen der jeg jobber. 500 ungdommer danset DansensDagDansen. Jippi. Fin dag å være stolt lærer på. I can see I need to update my tea collection. But really, I´m not interested in that wedding. Anyway, I´ll drop by Urban Outfitters next week. I´m sure there won´t be a problem finding anything nice. Today I´m too tired to take a new photo so I just show you this blurry, old one. I´ve been dancing all week, and today we arranged a big flash mob at my school. 500 pupils danced to celebrate the joy of dancing. If you need some inspiration, check out this funny advert. My cup of tea

I got this really funny sort of tea as a present this christmas. I think it´s hilarious, and I just can´t use them. I have to show them to you all. How about a nice cup of William?

And the winner is...

My muse. My friend. My colleague- Elkika! She won one of the the competitions in Miks & triks, a competition for redesign arranged at Remiks (our station for sorting garbage). You can see why she won? I love her style, her esthetic way of making stuff and the way her things doesn´t look like all other redesigned stuff. Because a lot of it does! But on the other hand it´s good that people re-use stuff. I just don´t think everything is looking that good. Or is made in a creative way. Not my cup of tea, you know. But for all means, keep on redesigning, reusing and recycling! Congrats Elkika. I am so glad you won. Weeee!

Putekrig

I recognize I have a thing for nice tea towels. And pillows. I also have a thing for making pillows out of towels I think are to nice to be used in the kitchen. Like this triangle one. Ferm living feature Rarerina. Gotta love it. 

Nice flat

Cool details from my friends´ apartment in Nørrebro, Copenhagen. I love their art, furniture, floor and the smart shelf for tea. Made out of two cd racks. Good idea, right? They have done so much work here and made a really cosy home for themselves. And for visitors. I am lucky to go see them now and then. 

Coldish

Baby it´s cold outside. Outside and I have a cold. I´m trying to heal myself, staying in for the fourth day on a road. A bit boring, yes. So I take some pictures and try to relax with Simon & Garfunkel, two blankets in the sofa, vitamins, tea, coffee, smoothie and an old ice cream I found in the freezer. Desperately seeking for chocolate. Where is it when you need it the most? And hey, our freezer is almost as cold as outside now. Brrr. I´m glad  we bought a fireplace.  

Cheap and mean

I like cheap solutions. Specially when we can fix it on our own. As a team. Like this old fruit chest from work. I painted it black. My man made an extra bottom and put on some wheels. Tata. A new storage for our firewood. And our art is homemade from plastic bags (thanks to Briggslekehus), a framed tea towel, postcards, prints from Etsy and internet, textiles and my latest piece of art: a Pushwagner. We just can´t afford the real one. But I fell in love with Brain center. So I just had to frame it. Cut from the catalog I bought at the exhibition. Yes, I know it´s mean and cheap. But I like it. Then I can live with art. And afford it.

I like autumn. The colors. Crispy air. New stuff. Work. Yoga. Tea. Wool. My new socks knitted by an old lady. And hairy legs packed in tights.
