Making space

2 will become 3. I´ve made space for Mini in my workroom. Mini won´t need a room yet, so we will share. I´ve removed my fabrics under the bed. In boxes of course. Perfectly sorted after color. I also wanted more space by the walls so I moved our shelves out in our little hall in the attic. Compact living it is. And of course I have sorted out my sewing stuff and put it in boxes. I love boxes. As probably all nesters I´ve painted a bit and made a new cover for the babycrib. I will show you when it´s all ready. I still have the time. And some more plans. Next year.

Testing nesting

This was not to be a babyblog. And is still not to be. I´ve spent the last years waiting and hoping for this to happen. I almost gave it up. I´ve had a hard time reading blogs including babies, kids´rooms and cool kids clothing. It´s been a long way for us. Not just happiness and easy going. Now, almost in week 36 I must believe it´s going to happen for us too. This process has taken most of my time, energy and focus for quite a while. Now I´m nesting for real. So I guess there will be some posts about what I´m making for Mini. To be continued.

Julings

If you thought all bloggers had a shiny, sparkling x-mastree since october, you are totally wrong. We (or, my boyfriend. Grrrr!) hasn´t even cleaned the floors yet. And I do have some gifts left to wrap. So much for that "Oh, I like to be ready in good time for Christmas". But hey, I´m enjoying getting ready. Just adding some x-mas dazzle around. And most important, spending time with friends. Christmas will come anyway. With or without clean floors. 

Poteito potato

I am also very pleased with one of my latest potato-stamp-project on baby clothing. Such an easy way to make your own little collection. Just cut out a pattern i half a potato, and dip it or put some textile paint on. Then go! You can see the result on instagram. 
Don´t remember where I saw this idea, but I know I´m not the first one doing this.

Baskets

I like good-looking storing. So a while ago I tried to make some baskets from a shower curtain. And it worked. Just like the ones I made from fabric. I am so pleased with these. I was meant to show you pictures like "before" and "after", but I tend to use Instagram instead of my camera nowadays. So you´ll have to see there. So, by coincident we got ourselves a new basket for laundry in our bathroom. The shower curtain´s holes fit almost perfectly for the hooks already placed on the wall. I love when things just happen like that. If you want some, I have a couple of them left for sale. 

Paper

I like it simple. And easy. I am not that patient, so I haven´t made my own. I bought some cubes to cut and fold, from Snug. They´ve been waiting for me. For weeks. This week-end I finally told myself to get done with them, and I even got them up. I plan to make a mobile for Mini from these after Christmas. Furthermore I´ve made some babystuff which you can see on Instagram if you´re there. I can´t bother to take pictures for my blog of everything I do, therefore Insta-followers can see more of what I do. Next I will try to get my new honeyballs up. Like on so many other blogs. But hey, I like them! And if you want to print out your own, check out this mobile made by LittleHelsinki. She has done what I plan to do.

Ingenting

It´s been quiet here. I can see that showing my home and my blog in the newspaper invited some new guys over here. Welcome welcome! I really don´t like showing myself of like that, so it was quite strange being in front of the camera and not behind it. But one of Tromsø´s best photographers and journalists were allowed and welcomed to visit our house. Iiik. Please have mercy with me, I´m not posting that often nowadays. My head is full of things I want to do, and once I´ve done some there´s always something new popping up. Today I had to give myself a go-slow-day. I woke up and listened to the wind outside, made the fireplace, drank some coffee, ate late breakfast and tried to get some sewing and cube-making done. As you see we have a lovely calendar this year. Made by the wonderful blogger dotty-love, who sent it to me. No stuff and things, just some very nice words for every day. Today´s note to self really fit our day. I´ve been a hormonal mess this week. Today I had to calm down and just try to be nice. Hope you´re having a calm and warm week end wherever you are! Calm down. Christmas will come anyway. I will try to remind myself on that too...  

Pyntedag

Friday is our dress/tie day at work. I also added a fake tattoo. That´s my way of dressing extra up. Tonight we´re having guests. I always like to start early setting the table. There´s more to come, but first some work to be done. It´s that time of the year, when all grades are to be set. Have a wonderful friday. Tomorrow we can sleep.
