Instead of buying a new lamp I tried to fix our old one. I didn´t like the metal parts on it, and the yellow-ish shadow with a warm shade of light. I bought some white, matte spray paint for the steel and used wall paint (left overs) for the shadow. Inside and outside. Many layers. This was how I spent my sunday, in the sun. Inside. With an ill man on the coach. I like the new old lamp. And the feeling of not buying a new lamp, when we already have one. Ten points!
To do: Remember to wash what´s to spray with Salmiakk or something else that will remove fat. Then rub it with a fine sandpaper and remove dust. Spray from a good distance, in many thin layers. Let it dry in between the showers. Remember to tape what´s not to be sprayed. Tried and learned. The hard way.
